Our lab teacher assistant caught a Coluber constrictor or a Black Racer. It was very fast!!! It had very smooth scales, very black skin color with a little white marking under the chin, and large black eyes. Although these snakes are non-venomous, we were warned to hold them right under the head because they will give a nasty bite!
