Pseudemys texana

Also during our field ecology lab on Monday we caught this little guy amongst other turtles in the Guadalupe river, but he was my favorite of them all!  This is a Texas River Cooter, not only his is name a reason to make you like him (and giggle a little) but Texas River Cooters have pink and orange on the underside of their outer part of the shell.  This is definitely my favorite find in all of my searches for animals!
