Pool Lizard

I found this little guy by the pool in Tampa, Florida today.  I'm told it is a 'Cuban Brown Anole' by a friend. I think he is an awesome little guy with beautiful coloring! WATERMELON!

That is a really cool looking anole. Judging by the dewlap, this must be some sort of anole.

The dewlap really does look like a watermelon! That coloration and size must make him a competitive choice when it comes to attracting a mate.

Cool ! His dewlap does look like a watermelon! I saw a Anole today standing on the steps of my apartment and judging from it's colorful dewlap, I knew it was a male

This is an awesome looking anole. I just read through the article that Dr. Welch posted, and that photo is so beautiful! The dewlap is so bright and intricate. On a side note, considering that this is the most common lizard in that area, I had no clue that these anoles were invasive!
