Its Not Easy Being Green

Well actually, being green isn't all that bad, just ask this little green frog: Hyla cinerea (commonly referred to green tree frog). It can be identified by the green body and white-yellowish stripe along the side towards the groin. It is typically found in an arboreal habitat. Also as a member of the Family Hylidae, the green tree frog has adhesive toe pads, claw-shaped terminal phalanges, long-limb size (particularly the hind limbs), and typically small waist and body. Like all tree frogs, Hyla cinerea is adapt at jumping long distances taking full advantage of its long hind legs. This is a bright, beautiful little frog who was a joy to catch (and release of course)!
