Introducing our class mascot... Teddy, the ribbon snake!

By popular acclaim, with multiple nominations, our class mascot can be none other than Teddy, the adorable and friendly ribbon snake, Thamnophis sauritus.

Teddy was captured by Chad and Kim during our field trip to Caw Caw Interpretive Center. Teddy was an especially exciting find, as the first snake captured on one of our field trips. Many students had the opportunity to handle Teddy and, of course, get some great photos.

Encountering Teddy was a highlight of our first experience in the field and set the tone for appreciating our local herpetological diversity on the rest of our field trips!
