Mascot Nomination
For the title of class mascot, I elect Apalone Spinifera, the spiny soft-shelled turtle. This turtle is worthy of mascot-ship due to it's intimidating spikes that may scare, and it's soft shell that is indicative of it's caring nature.
Not to mention their comparison to pancakes in the field guide....
